THE COMPANY

Kasandy is a fair trade brand dedicated to connecting underrepresented artisans from Kenya, East Africa, and beyond to the global marketplace through handcrafted, sustainable, and design-led products.

More than a store, Kasandy is built around empowerment through opportunity. The brand works directly with artisans, pays prices they set upfront, and creates ethical partnerships that support sustainable incomes, family stability, and stronger local communities. Its products are rooted in craftsmanship, environmental responsibility, and conscious consumerism, with many made from recycled, upcycled, or ethically sourced materials.

Kasandy’s story is also deeply personal, shaped by a connection to Kenya and a mission to create better market access for talented makers who have historically been overlooked. Alongside its East African artisan partnerships, the brand also produces part of its collection locally in Vancouver, blending global inspiration with local craftsmanship and a strong commitment to the circular economy.

THE WORK

For Kasandy, I created a multi-format brand campaign that brought the store’s mission to life through cinematic video, photography, paid creative, social content, and a landing page centered on impact.

I conceptualized, directed, shot, and produced a three-minute promotional video for the store, with every clip captured by me. The piece combined stunning visuals, rich product videography, and carefully framed shots of the store itself to create a polished brand story that felt both elevated and personal. Because Kasandy is located on Vancouver’s Granville Island, one of the city’s most visited tourist destinations, I also incorporated exterior and location-based visuals to situate the brand within a recognizable and high-traffic cultural setting.

Beyond video, I produced product photography and model imagery that helped present Kasandy’s collection in a more refined, editorial way. I also designed graphic creative for paid advertising, created short-form content for TikTok and Instagram Reels, and developed a landing page that communicated the deeper impact behind the brand—highlighting Kasandy’s commitment to ethical sourcing, artisan empowerment, sustainability, and fair trade.

The goal was to create a cohesive visual system that did more than sell products. It needed to showcase the atmosphere of the store, elevate the craftsmanship of the pieces, and communicate the larger story behind the brand. By combining cinematic storytelling with platform-specific content and conversion-focused design, the work helped position Kasandy as both a beautifully curated retail space and a purpose-driven business with meaningful social impact.

Good strategy leaves a mark.

Social media is not one size fits all, and every case study here proves it. Different industries, different challenges, different audiences, and every single one approached with the same level of strategic intention and creative precision. I don’t recycle strategies or apply templates. I build from scratch, measure what matters, and make every post earn its place.
