Case Study
Cannabis deserves better content. I helped Canadian Evergreen deliver it.
My efforts encompassed weekly social media content designed to educate audiences, challenge misconceptions, and drive consistent traffic back to the Canadian Evergreen blog across BC and Alberta.
Canadian Evergreen is a cannabis-focused digital media network launched under Black Press Media, one of North America’s leading local news organizations.
Operating across British Columbia and Alberta, Canadian Evergreen was built to serve the growing cannabis community with original content, cultural commentary, product coverage, and industry insight. Backed by Black Press Media’s expansive infrastructure spanning BC, Alberta, the Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Washington State, Alaska, and Hawaii, Canadian Evergreen launched with an ambition to become the go-to digital destination for cannabis consumers, enthusiasts, and industry insiders across Western Canada.
THE WORK
As a content creator for Canadian Evergreen, I produced three posts per week across their social media platforms, each designed to serve a specific purpose within a broader content strategy.
The approach was built around three core objectives. The first was breaking the stigma around cannabis by presenting it in an informative, approachable, and culturally aware way that resonated with both seasoned consumers and curious newcomers. The second was education, creating content that demystified cannabis terminology, strains, products, and culture in a way that was visually engaging and easy to digest. The third was traffic, crafting posts that directed the audience back to Canadian Evergreen’s blog, turning social media into a pipeline for website readership and long-term audience growth.
Every post was designed with the Canadian Evergreen brand identity in mind, maintaining visual consistency across educational graphics, strain spotlights, engagement posts, and how-to content that made complex cannabis topics accessible and shareable.
Good strategy leaves a mark.
Social media is not one size fits all, and every case study here proves it. Different industries, different challenges, different audiences, and every single one approached with the same level of strategic intention and creative precision. I don’t recycle strategies or apply templates. I build from scratch, measure what matters, and make every post earn its place.
