Purpose and Goals

The purpose of this website is to portray my personal portfolio, adding elements such as about me, work experience, projects, volunteer experience, and awards/accolades that I have collected in my professional life. I intend to keep this website long after I am completed with this class and the idea to expand this website as I move along in my career. One of my main goals is to create a visually appealing project that would give employers a clear insight of my designing skills. Secondly, I want to keep the website appear minimal and offer an organized navigation through intuitive design.

Audience

The audience of my portfolio website would be recruiters, colleagues, friends, and family.

Description

This website is a personal portfolio that would be submitted alongside professional documents such as Resume and Cover Letter to recruiters. It is going to be visual heavy and provide evidence of the work that I have undertaken.

Web Hosting

I conducted comprehensive research on the hosts provided and the hosts available in the market. After completing my research, I have concluded that Hostinger fits the bill for me. They offer round the clock support, free SSL certificates, email, and compatibility with WordPress. It’s a bit of a premium price but I am willing to pay for it as the benefits outweigh the cost. Some of the suggested hosts do not provide a free SSL certificate which is important for one of the tasks, choosing such hosts would not be optimal.
